My friend Ken and I were reading the paper the other day which had a political cartoon of California Gubernatorial candidate Meg Whitman.  Ken commented on how old the cartoon made Whitman look, which I replied, “Have you seen her!”  And it got me thinking of who she reminded me of.  It was an actor.  The picture in my mind was someone whom I had seen many times, in many different things.  Then things began to get a little more clear…  this actor was obviously an older Caucasian person, light colored hair and small old person corn kernel teeth.  Then it hit me!  The exact person that came to mind was a wispy old gunslinger in the 1992 Academy Award winning movie Unforgiven.  The character was English Bob played by the late great Richard Harris.  And if you still don’t know who that is, here you go…

And so you all know, this is just another one of the ridiculous thoughts that constantly go on in my head.  Enjoy!

My condolances to the family and loved ones of Eric B.  To let everyone know, on the evening of Sunday September 19th we lost one of the good ones as Eric B., known to followers as Broseph, has passed away, losing his third bout with brain cancer.  Only 39 years of age, Eric was a co-worker and more importantly a good friend.  He helped Von and I with the podcast and greatly encouraged us with our little endeavor.  Words cannot express what I’m feeling in the loss of one of the coolest people I’ve ever met.  After going through what he had been through in his life, most people would have given up and packed it in, but Eric’s wit and humor would not let anyone know that he was anything but an awesome personality that people should aspire to be.  You were one of a kind B and you will be greatly missed.  -Mike

As most of the loyal followers of the site know, Von has been indisposed of since last April and I have been making an attempt to keep the ship afloat, but alas, I must also put the comic on the back burner so I can focus on my higher priorities.  With that said, it is going to sad to turn away from something I have invested so much time and creativity (more time) into.

It is amazing to me that we have been going bi-weekly for nearly 13 months, that’s like 8 dog years.  I am going to try to put content up on a not so regular basis, and even try a few new ideas if time allows me, but probably not as frequent and timely as we has been. I am happy to have done my first web endeavor and I have to say it has been a great experience.  Big thanks to our fan, I mean fans.  You know who you are and now you have to live with the pressure that comes with it.  A bit of inside info:  I, like Ace, am not the most compassionate or caring person on the planet, and when I read the feedback and reaction from our fans, both positive and negative, I like what we’ve done and how, in general, it has been received.  That means some of your feedback made a difference, thanks for all of it.  So with that in mind, thank you for stopping by, enjoy the archives and get back to work you douche bags!

I got an email from one of our loyal followers, Ken, and I just have to say one thing:  What the hell are people thinking?  Check out this thing of beauty:

Is there something wrong with my train of thought or is she seriously messed up?!  Who does this, and how can I avoid these folks who obviously have eaten too much lead paint.  She claimed that this “device” was for making people aware of how close they should be so she wouldn’t contract the swine flu.  Swine flu?  Really.  The only thing people should be aware of is that she is LOCO!  I guess bad attention is attention, and some people seem to get off on it, no matter the cost.  Including dignity.  Good day.

The best is yet to come.  I plan to, in the not to distant future, revamp the look of our site, along with changing the format of the strip itself to allow for more encompasing storylines and a more diverse cast of characters.  Hopefully my schemes are not too grand, but what the hell, last year at this time we’d never done a webcomic, and almost a year later, we’re still here… Hazaa!

It has been a really long time since I blogged something so bear with me while I type down what is in my cranium lately.

Thank you to all the readers that have come by to the site and have been readin’ and enjoyin’ the wonderful free humorous content we provide. It’s great that you all are spreading the word of our site. Please DON’T STOP. You’re doing new readers a potential disservice by not sharing the wealth.

Some people who follow my twitter may know that I have been currently been laid off. I know, I know, our art has become a reality. It is unfortunate and sucks a major cod-piece but I see it as an opportunity for greater things. I am only frightened by the thought of uncertainty of the future, especially for the site, since I will no longer be working along side Mike. Try not to fret too much, though. We will keep this site going as long as you all continue to come back. I SHALL PERSEVERE…like Paul Revere. (It rhymes. )

All I ask is please continue to show your support by visiting the site frequently and often. Drop me a line from time to time. Tweet me because I tweet back.

We’ve been reviewed by The Webcomic Tattler with some really nice words of critisim. Check out his awesome site. I guess someone out there outside of Mike and I likes our junk.  He gave us a solid 85 out of 100. That score is better than any of my average test scores I recieved in school. Just when I thought that Mike and I should tap out from the world of web comic-ing, someone comes along to lite a fire right underneath our asses. That friends is whole lotta’ fire.
