Woody – first of all Obama’s point about the impact of off-shore drilling is true and will remain true. What you don’t get is that you’re being punked politically and the “Resigny Reloady” lady has been robbed of an idiotic talking point – which is all she’s got. Great Shop!….. I would recommend you think about a delta,jet or Powermatic air filtration. While I was working with cedar making tongue and groove flooring, I got a nasty sinus infection from the dust. Turns out, dust was a bigger health problem than I knew.. My neighbor used Styrofoam from home depot and lined his garage door… Made a huge difference inside with heat and cooling. All kinds of clamps will come in handy!! Get-R-Done!

I understand your point of view, but I think our view will be colored by whether this is a loan word from English or is a Chinese equivalent word of an English word. If one views this as an equivalent word to the English “cool”, then I would agree with you. But if one thinks this is a loan word in which an hanzi was found that had a meaning similiar to the English, then I would disagree with you. This may appear as hair-splitting, but I do not think so. My own opinion is that it is a loan word because of the nature of the word itself. It is more slang, used by young people and is more fashionable, all characteristics of a loan word; rather than an attempt to find an equivalent word in Chinese for an English word, equivalents will usually be assoicated with attempts of to translate. But no matter which direction it takes, you will be right in that this particular word is different from most because it has both a sound similiarity and a root meaning that has similiarities in both languages.

the beach walk and the romantic kiss really is incredibly wonderful… .i like the splashy background for the picture in which the couple is standing at the huge rock. .totality….the photos awesomely tells the love story of the couple.

Gabrielle, I’m so glad I’m not the only church-going Mormon who reads this blog. I too, am an active church-going liberal. I’m going on a mission, heading out in the next couple of months. I also support the LGBT community, and have even gone so far as to march with them during the common ground initiative. I wish that there were more open-minded people in the church. After all, Christ did come to save the sinner, and aren’t we all sinners? Why should one class of sinner be treated so much more poorly.
